The hymn-sing choir is a faithful group of church members who enjoys praising the Triune God, and paying homage to the Mother of God through song. The troupe sings at the 9:30 am mass every Sunday, and includes: Marie Cobuzzi (second organist), Madelyn Elia, Theresa Loo, Marian Ragusa, Mary Ragusa, and Rama Vidyasagar. Angelo Cavalieri, Director of the Music Ministry, is the first organist and cantor.
Each week of the church calendar, Mr. Cavalieri selects hymns which are subject related to the scripture readings of the day – thus, through the singing of those hymns, the readings are enhanced and hopefully become vivid, animated, meaningful and more spirited in the minds and souls of the congregation of the Immaculate Conception Church.
The hymn-sing choir welcomes musically trained and untrained singres. Call Mr. Cavalieri at 914-941-3308 to join.
